    How are things in Dubai? What are you doing right now? We’re in registration and we’re watching your videos. Zhane says the class is having fun without you in Geography! LOL!
    The class would like to know how the students are coping without their friends and family?

    Dear 8APN,

    Glad to hear that you are having a good time without me in Geography. The students are coping very well without their friends and family. They all want to stay here and think that the weather, people and general atmosphere is amazing.

    It’s only day one and so things may change after a few more days.

    I want you to tell me in class on Thursday why you think people might move to Dubai. Only 2% of the people in Dubai are Emiratis, the rest are immigrants. What do you think that the push and pull factors might be.

    Dear 7STK,

    Thanks for commenting on the website. The weather here is fantastic. Very differerent to London at the moment. It is sunny and about 21C.

    When we arrived last night we had a snack of cucumber with grilled haloumi (a type of cheese) and vine leaves stuffed with flavoured rice. Both were delicious.

    Have a great half term and I look forward to seeing your individual comments over the next week.

    In Arabic there is a word MAKTOUB. It means : ‘it is written’ ( destiny).

    I’m sure this opportunity was ‘written’ for you all.

    I have been looking forward to the launching of this site and your experience. This is my third year of living and teaching in Muscat, Oman. I look forward to reading about your adventures while in Oman. My plan is to share some of your experiences with my students (5th grade) on our smartboard while you are traveling through Oman.
