Hi everyone,Thanks for all the blogs you sent. Its so good to know you are all watching our progress. Miss you all. Plashet, I hope you are all looking forward to your well deserved half term. Anyway, today was another fun packed day, with the latifa school for girls. Went to a farm, that belongs to one of the students. They layed on a banquet for us, well 3 banquets actually, breakfast, lunch and dinner. We spent the day, drawing camels, producing this huge land art in the sand….It was exhausting!!! We were digging trenches for hours and there was camel poo everywhere! But at first we were mistaking it for pebbles and picking them up and throwing them out!!! But itwas all good fun and the final art piece was quite spectacular. We then dressed up in traditional clothes, which we got to keep, had henna done..the girls, not me and basically ate more food. The Latifa girls were amazing, so hospitable, not at all the stereotypical sheltered women we all imagine, but quite westernised in their thinking. They are great artists and they were the perfect hostesses and we all had a fantastic time. So far this expedition is all that we hoped for and more. Having the best time ever. But miss you all back home, loads. Keep sending your blogs. Love to you all.xxx

Hi Everyone, I heard of this great adventure from my niece Maggy Farrow, and I am delighted to read of all the happenings. Here in Canada we are in a deep freeze, below freezing all the time, so the pleasant weather sounds so inviting. I look forward to reading more of the trip each day. Each one of you must be proud knowing that you represent a different nation to your hosts. Good luck to all. Bill Pennington

Hi Ashia, Giovana and Samira,
Glad you’ve all arrived safely and managed to escape the snow. How did you manage to create so much art with so little sleep? I’ll have to warn Plashet Park that you might want to use it for some Art lessons next term by digging some trenches there! Look forward to hearing about the balloon trip.

hey again! this sounds great, the sketchbook pages are so exciting and the land art is great. the girls look really lovely. so does the food! you have got the most comments out of everyone on the trip, how popular! back in england is rainy and cold, our school got one piece of exciting news, we got an extra week off for half term as the boilers are all broken. the school went mad! but thats nothing compared to your exciting expedition.
x x x x saffiah x x x x miss you.

What an amazing experience for you all- the 2 video and diary reports so far give such a vivid picture of the fantastic adventure and the great hospitality the students could hardly have imagined a few months ago that they would have been so fortunate to share.
I think we will need to book both of the Plashet school halls for the artwork and photographic display you and the students will bring back !
Looking forward to seeing the next videos and reports
