I really enjoyed the journey up to Tiwi. Offroad driving through vast rugged landscape. The beach itrself is great for collecting natural forms. Shells, coraL, cuttle fish. Even a dried shark skin in its entire form. We had a great time collecting natural and manmade objects. It was quite shocking to see the amount of litter strewn across the beach. empty cans, bottles, food items, rope, boxes, flip flops and glass. It made all of us reflect on the effect mankind has on the environment, how we are constantly destroying our natural sorroundings. The art sculptures made from the found objects relected these feelings, they were very thoughtful pieces of work, in which students contemplated the meaning of progress and development and how this was effecting our world.
We set up camp, after being chased by camels! and enjoyed a barbeque under a star lit sky by by the camp fire.Looking forward to going to sleep.

Hi Ashia,
You are doing a great job in conveying what you are experiencing and what is being created artistically. I look forward to getting my ‘Offscreen’ news every day - it is certainly brightening up half-term. The art sculptures looked amazing - you could create greeting cards with the images. Good Luck camping in the desert.

Hi to all the group out there.
The children here at North Reddish Junior School are all enjoying
your diary and pictures. We love your land sculptures, but we agree it is sad to see the litter on a beautiful beach. What are we doing to our world we ask!?
