Stephen, the pictures are not uploading in Dubai using the emirates provider. All your wonderful images are not being seen.
This is because you are using ‘flickr’ which is a blocked site here in the UAE. It would be great if you could somehow get round this problem. Luckily I live where there is a different provider but our students have unfourtunately been unable to view your images. Good luck with the rest of your trip.

Yes you’re right John, the Flickr issue is something we’re looking to resolve. Unfortunately we’re relying on Flickr to handle some of the traffic bandwidth, so it isn’t an easy thing to switch. It’s a challenge trying to reach a global audience with all of these firewall restrictions! We’ll keep working to improve the experience for all…

Sam, what a few days! Brilliant pictures of the mosque - what is the purpose of the beautiful tiled niches? Are you all overwhelmed by the contrasts? Hope you have a great desert trip and that you all get some sleep and recharge your batteries if needed!

Just to let you all know that there is an article about the expedition in the latest NSEAD publication. Mine came in the post today and also included was the poster, so the news of what you are up to is spreading.
Still revelling at all the things you’ve bee up to. I’m sure the kids will come back exhausted, but with loads of work, ideas and enthusiasm.
