Today we asked the students to listen and feel the rhythms of nature. In and around the most remote youth hostel in the UK, students worked in pairs to produce sculptures inspired by the natural environment and incorporating mans impact.
The grass wreath was very Goldworthy-esque (which is a huge compliment,as most people know how much I adore him and ‘Rivers and Tides’!!).
My favorite image, though, is the blue cable snaking its way through the stone wall. It just hits you unexpectedly and there is such tension between the two objects - color, texture, material, purpose, etc.
GREAT WORK!!
