It was an amazing day. Actually we started early in the morning, we got up at 5 o’clock and packed our things. We went to the airport and flew at 7 o’clock. We arrived to Manchester at 8 o’clock. We met a muslim guy called Murad and he took us to to the Islamic High School for girls. We got in and saw Ayshaa “a science teacher” and she took us to the heed teacher’s office. We introduced our selves to the heed teacher and talked with her. Then we met three of the students and had a conversation with them about higab ” wearing a scarf”. we asked the girls some quistions about higab and they were very confident when they answered those quistions. It was lovely to see muslims girls who love Islam and wearing higab. After that we went with the girls to do art in the art room in the school. we made beautiful masks with the girls’ help. The taxi was waiting for us in front of the school. We finished our masks and went to Manchester United Club. We injoied our visit to the club. We took some photos and bought souvineirs from there. we came back to the school and had lunch. The cake that was made by the girls was very dilicious. It was really a nice day.

I thought working with Azooz will be difficult and that i have to do it all but the truth was that he was incridible and full of great ideas. Our work was about our adventure in offscreen using nature and other stuff made by man. We used a sign post written on it ‘Bridge’ as a sign that offscreen was a bridge for us to communicate with each other from and between different cultures and nations. We considered the idea of there being a door that separates people from different places and backgrounds and so we used a key to represent us unlocking and opening it. Also we used headphones to symbolise us lisenting to each other as we often do not and used flowers which are a part of nature that we all share. Most of the teachers and the students liked our work so we were lucky enough to get first prize.

It was amazing to make art and mix between nature and man-made stuff. It remided us that we cant live without something authentic … something true, pure… We love it because it reminds us that we are part of nature, that we must protect our environment. We made a wonderful butterfly from leaves and stones because I love butterflies. I love to imagine that i am a beautiful butterfly. We also made another piece using a candle, internet cable and batteries. It shows the power of life and how people make wars to have the artificial power when we are surrounced by the power of nature. Me and Mohamed were a great team and we enjoyed it very much. Acutully we made a beautiful gallary with many wonderful pieces.
