Its been a pleasure to stand up here and speak to you. Its really hard for me but i would like to speak about the offscreen family, because for me, its been the best part of the whole expedition. when i first won the competition i was so nervous and worried, i had so many thoughts because im not the kind of person who can get along with people so easy especially is i have never met them before. well, when i first met each one of the team i had some thoughts; ‘are they friendly’, ‘he looks a bit shy, ’she dresses weird’, but then i learnt something which is really important.. never judge people unless by the way they treat you. and i have to say i dont care who you are where are you from or what you did just as long as you care about me. there are some words inside my soul, and these have been the ones ive tried to write over and over again but still i have no words to describe how wonderful they are and how they treated me. just like.. they made me feel i belonged to them. the whole expedition with the whole team made me think how wonderful it is to communicate with people from different ages and its hard to say goodbye. It seems like just yesterday i met them and i dont feel ive had enough of them. Everyone of them have been like a friend, like a mother, a father, a brother and a sister and i knew deeply inside of me, you all, Stephen, jamie, barney, roberet, aya, jenna, anu, and tahira, mrs thuraya, bashayer, mr hamid, abir, marwa, azooz, eiman, mohammed, jawahir, abdullah, mohammed dahir you are all my family. you all made my journey much more easier for me. and before 13 days i was just a girl who sadly left her family and came to the uk but now you are looking at a woman, a woman who has so many interests in such things i never thought i would be interested in and its all because of you. I have benefited from all these personalities and advice which i was given which makes me look forward to my future. And i dont want to say good bye but i will say, see you soon, and we will be a family forever. And last but not least, im sorry if i ever hurt anyone of you and thank you, i was so lucky to have this opportunity, creating and working and coorperating with you. I have to say. You are the best thing that ever happened to me.

Hye on wye ! What a beautiful country. When we first arrived there my first impression was how beautiful and quite this place is. We went a house in a farm, surrounded by sheeps and flowers and such a nice things. The day after we woke up in the morning and start on doing our art work, after a very serious discussion about it. Then we went to the black hills and start on doing these funny things together and Barny kept on filming us and laugh at us. It was really nice to step up on the top and see these colorful views. Its beautiful when you see all kind of green colours. Its just makes you feel free and enjoying the beauty of life. After that we went for the first time for me canoeing it was on the wye river. Juliet, the woman who took us to the place where we took the canoes and wear the life jackets. As soon as we got there everyone start to get into the canoe and start pushing the paddle forwards and backwards. It was so much fun, all of us were laughing at each other. It was a bit difficult but we became very good at it. I just hope I can do this some other time because I really had fun on doing it.

Today was really amazing … mixing between nature and art is the most amazing and beautiful thing you can do. Well, working with Mohammed was a bit hard and he kept driving me crazy, but at the same time he was really helpful and the thing i liked is that he likes my ideas and that’s really important to me. Expressing your feelings by using art is wonderful, and what makes it amazing is being in a place where you can listen yo yourself carefully and listen to your thoughts, so in the end you would do a very wonderful art work. My idea was the miniature river with the bridge. I thought the river was the most beautiful thing in the whole area. When you feel tired and exhausted, the moment you see all of this and hear the water you suddenly forget all the pain and you feel fresh. And when you see these beautiful scenes you just feel beautiful from the inside and outside. My artwork was just about beautiness and the place that i thought it was just like Heaven.

Aysha : Waking up at 6.30 again today, but ready for an eventful day at plashet school. Before coming I had a rough idea about the kind of school we were going to.. but only thorugh the movies. When I was giving the presentation I was really nervous.. because of the large number of girls we were speaking to.. I spoke from my heart and saw the Bahrainy people in front of me instead of the Plashet Girls. The girls were really friendly and I didn’t expect them to say ‘HI’.. but they all did.
We started working on our collage piece..
Samira: Seeing the students here today reminded me of the wonderful time we had in Oman and Dubai.. they were all so kind and I learnt a lot about Aysha.. we have a lot of things in common the same taste in music etc… I think the girls we have met are wonderful they are so inspirational and have so many ideas and thoughts they are definately here to explore…
They had a short meeting with our head teacher which was just great.. The questions they asked were mesmerizing… they want to know so much…
I know they will have loads of memories to take with them when they go back..
I wish them the best of luck for the rest of their trip..
Take care from Aysha and Samira xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
