Middle East Art Enterprise
To kick start an Arts Enterprise project based on the Middle East, Offscreen coordinated two day workshops with musicians and artists from Saudi Arabia and Palestine. The whole of year 9 worked with Palestinian Singer, Reem Kelani, Palestinian artist and poet Ashraf Fayadh and Saudi Arabian painter, Ahmed Mater Al-Ziad Aseeri on two pieces based on the artists’ work. Students will now develop their own ideas inspired by their contact with the artists and create art and performances for a whole school Middle East event in July.
