British Museum Artists-in-Schools
As part of the British Museums Middle Eastern artists-in-schools programme, British-Iraqi painter Sadiq Toma worked alongside head of art, Dave Critchley with GCSE students within a project entitled My World. Students drew on Sadiqs own work and life experience, as an artist and former designer for Baghdad Museum, to develop an appreciation and understanding of Arab and Islamic art. Inspired by Sadiqs knowledge and skills students designed posters, and painted ceramic tiles.
