Fusing Cultures
A group of students from different backgrounds were chosen to design and decorate a painting celebrating diversity within the community. Students from Iran, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Jamaica, Congo, Albania and England incorporated symbols and language from their own cultural backgrounds into a Dagenham street scene. The headmasters name and the name of the school were written in Farsi by a year 8 girl from Afghanistan.
