Year 10 Art BTEC
As part of Phase 3 of the British Museum’s Artists-in-Schools project, British-Lebanese artist Rana Salam worked alongside art teacher, Katherine Eland and arts coordinator Emma Thurston, with a group of Year 10 Art BTEC students. Inspired by Ranas interest in Arab Pop culture, students drew on a range of source imagery including Arabic film posters, geometric patterns, the Arabic alphabet and Lebanese consumer culture. The final outcome was a large mural, showcasing fragments of the students work within a star shaped geometric framework.
