As part of the British Museum’s Middle Eastern artists-in-schools programme, German-Iraqi artist Rashad Salim worked alongside Head of Art, Addela Khan with a group of GCSE students. The project explored ‘Headgear’ and focussed on the diversity and versatility of headgear within the Arab world. Using a variety of traditional, performance and new media techniques students explored different headgear categories. Outcomes included animations, signiture images and photographic portraits.
