Year 9 gifted & talented
As part of Phase 2 of the British Museum’s Artists-in-Schools project, Iranian artist Khosrow Hassanzadeh and Jordanian-British printmaker, Rima Farah worked with a group of Year 9 girls for 6 sessions over three weeks. Initially inspired by Khosrows large scale Terrorist series of screen-printed family portrait paintings, students designed and made large banners decorated with calligraphy, inspired by their visit to Word into Art, and images inspired by their own family backgrounds. When Khosrow had to leave the project (due to circumstances beyond his control), after two sessions, Rima Farah took over and completed the project.
