Stone carving
Offscreen ran two workshops, from the 9th – 12th July, as part of ‘Art week’ at Sir William Ramsey School, Buckinghamshire.
Adam Williamson & Lateefa Spiker taught stone carving; students learnt how to carve 3D shapes out of limestone using chisels, mallets and files.
In the 2nd workshop Adam & Lateefa taught Islamic geometry: students made traditional Islamic designs, from scratch, using only a compass and a ruler to create complicated patterns which they then coloured.
