Peckham
Adam Williamson and Lateefa Spiker taught an Islamic Geometry workshop to children from the Peckham community as part of a summer arts program orginized by SMWA.
The students where taught how to construct tradtional Islamic patterns using only a compass and ruler. Part of the class was focused on understanding how geometry relates to the natural world what geometry represents in Islam and how it has been used throughout the Islamic world.
