Year 9 Gifted & Talented
British Museum Artists-in-Schools
As part of Phase 3 of the British Museum’s Artists-in-Schools project, British-Palestinian puppeteer, Mahmoud Al-Hourani, worked alongside Head of Art, Kareena Little, with a specially selected group of Year 9 gifted and talented students, on a project inspired by the life of Egyptian singer, Umm Kulthum. The project combined art and performance as students constructed and animated shadow puppets, to bring the story of Umm Kulthum to life.
